A New J.J. Abrams Show Has Been Picked Up By HBO Max

HBO Max has ordered a series based on an original concept by J.J. Abrams, with Jennifer Yale (Legion, Dexter) attached as showrunner. The title is a play on words, with the plot following a college student taking part as a subject in a clinical trial.”This series follows a desperate college student who signs up for a clinical trial that begins a wild, harrowing, mind and reality-bending adventure,” the official synopsis reads. The show is set to be produced by J.J. Abrams’ company Bad Robot in association with Warner Bros.
