Nine Perfect Strangers Has a Cast as Wild as Its Mysteries

If you’re feeling some of that White Lotus withdrawal (don’t worry, we all are), we’ve got some good news—there’s another resort-set limited series featuring a star-studded cast playing various rich and troubled people coming right your way. Nine Perfect Strangers, based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel of the same name, is here and ready for you to ease from one resort into the next. The major difference here, however, is that while Lotus was more interested in its own overarching social commentary on class relations and modern society than any sort of mystery, Nine Perfect Strangers wants its viewers to be guessing and second-guessing at any moment’s notice. This show wants you to suspect any and everyone of having any sort of mysterious past, and to think that any character could be capable of any terrible thing at any given moment. And in the early goings at least, part of what makes it so fun to watch that mystery unfold is the show’s undeniably stellar cast. With a mix of legitimate stars, character actors, and familiar faces across the board, this is a show with performances that should keep you entertained even if the story starts to waffle a bit.
