Gomez’s goal was scored from 61.2 yardsGomez’s goal was scored from 61.2 yards, eclipsing Roofe’s effort from 55.4 yards. While Roofe’s goal helped Rangers to a 2-0 win against Standard Liege, Gomez’s proved to be only a consolation as his side lost 2-1. Gomez’s goal has caused some debate on social media, with some people claiming it should not have stood because the ball appeared to be moving when he hit it.Not to worry, someone will probably break the record again next week…Line-upsOmonia Nicosia40Ribeiro de Freitas15Hubocan6Luftner22Lang17Lecjaks8Gomes da Silva16Gomez Garcia-PencheBooked at 78mins11BauthéacSubstituted forKousoulosat 90+3’minutes13PapoulisSubstituted forAsanteat 81’minutesBooked at 86mins21Tzionis18DurisSubstituted forKakoullisat 81’minutesSubstitutes1Panagi4Shehu5Geraldo Rosa7Sene30Panagiotou31Kousoulos35Mavrias70dos Santos75Loizou80Kakoullis88Asante98KyriakidesPSV Eindhoven38Mvogo33TezeBooked at 69mins8Hendrix28Boscagli31Max27Götze6Sangaré30ThomasBooked at 46mins10Ihattaren9Malen23MaduekeSubstituted forFeinat 83’minutesBooked at 85minsSubstitutes11Fein13Unnerstall16Müller17Mauro Júnior37Ledezma39Hungria Martins49Kjølø55Saibari Ben El BasraLive TextMatch ends, Omonia Nicosia 1, PSV Eindhoven 2.Second Half ends, Omonia Nicosia 1, PSV Eindhoven 2.Offside, Omonia Nicosia.
