It’s finally game over for one of Windows 11’s oldest (and annoying) bugs

Home News Computing (Image credit: Future) Windows 11 has got a new cumulative update which applies some important fixes to the taskbar, and also resolves an issue that has been bothering some PC gamers for a long, long time (we’ll come back to that).Patch KB5022845 (opens in new tab) has now been deployed, containing all the tweaks and changes that were made in the preview of this update (which was released late in January).As made clear in Microsoft’s patch notes (opens in new tab), it includes a long-awaited fix for gamers. Windows 11 has been behaving rather oddly for those with a game controller hooked up to their PC, in that the system may not enter sleep mode due to that peripheral being connected.
