Either way, it\u2019s a huge departure from the cylindrical design of the first HomePod or the HomePod Mini\u2019s cute sphere aesthetic.\u00a0It makes sense that Apple\u00a0is looking to shake up the HomePod as its design hasn\u2019t changed much in years. However, this latest patent is an interesting development\u00a0considering\u00a0we\u2019ve seen several leaks suggesting\u00a0a display-enhanced HomePod\u00a0is on the way next. This would be bigger than the previous\u00a0Apple HomePod 2\u00a0model and would replace the swirling waveform orb on top with a large screen.\u00a0This certainly doesn&#8217;t seem to be that.
