The testing positivity rate, seen as an early indicator of increased spread, is also on the rise, and is now again at over 5% statewide. The rise is particularly striking in Miami-Dade County, by far the most populated county in the state, where the positivity rate is at its highest point since September 2, at 6.87%. Hospitalizations and deaths have stayed relatively stable in Florida this week after earlier declines, though increases in those metrics tend to lag behind a rise in new cases.
