The shirtless man who painted his face and donned horns and fur during the takeover was quickly identified by social media users, and then multiple news outlets, as Jake Angeli, 32, a QAnon supporter, after Trump supporters falsely claimed he was an antifa counter-protester. The founder of Proud Boys Hawaii, Nick Ochs, was among those inside the Capitol during the takeover, according to photos posted to Twitter from his personal account and confirmed by CNN. A man who live-streamed the takeover and called for lawmakers to be hung was identified by CNN and social media users as Tim Gionet, a well-known far-right extremist.
